It shows the same filter, which sells the kit as Amazon Fein FBK Filter Bag Set the food included. I just purchased and installed, the FBK-kit on my Fein Turbo II vac-thriller, and I am with him. Better dust collections, and the convenience of disposable bags. The bags have a very large volume library. Strainer with the bag seems + better than it was with the original cloth liner alone. Less than the kit is half the price of the filter alone here. Seems like an easy decision.
It 's expensive. It 's small. The bag paper "clip" in (raised more than a ring). The circles large purse inexpensive "final filter " (I think that designers want the HEPA filter to stop only the small amount of smaller particles) r rSuction doesn 't prononcer To Be dimished. R rWhy I was willing to spend $ 125 on a vacuum filter system (HEPA BAGS $ 90 $ 16 $ 15 HOLDING BRACKET? I was warned that discussion FineHombuilding 's forum "Breaktime " that the dust wall Cleaning would blow the engine if I continued to use the filter output standards. I found evidence of dust drywall getting-through Malthus had been a matter of time. r rI bought this filter system without any explanation of as it should work. I had a lot of designers in Fein s trusted '(better than you vac ' ever had) because half the price I was tempted to really go the cheaper route with a "filter "Clone tandem with HEPA filter with horns. I Don t 'I think would work very long because the clone HEPA filter was overloaded, plugged in and killed the void suffication. r rI ' m happy with the way in which all the works, and plan to try to find a way to empty and reuse paper bags. If I am successful, which will start and share some ll 'debate on the likely FineHomebuilding ' s Forum "Breaktime ". r rDon Mathis
I Followed TS 's advice and bought the Competing product. It was a little tricky to find, because it 's CleanStream Actually called the filter, by Gore. It really does fit beautifully.
The HEPA filter works great But is limited to only dry pick-up and using an expensive special paper bag Which does make for easy clean up But does limit versatility.I Bought A clean Gortex HEPA filter from Lowes for $ 29.99 That fits the Red-Coded Craftsman vacuums. This forms a perfect seal and works for wet and dry pickup. Either you only need to plug the hole in the bottom of the filter with a plastic plug you can get at Lowes or Any car parts store or use a 3 / 8 "x 2.5 " carriage bolt, nylon washer, and wing nut to more Securely Fasten the filter. Better filter, better price, Easier wet / dry vacuuming.
When you buy a tool for woodworking, it doesn t manual "to warn him, but if you do a little research you 'll find that prolonged exposure to fine dust (smaller than a micron, or the size of the particles smoking) can lead to heart and lung problems, some serious. Most shop vacuums come with filters that trap dust as small as 5 microns (a piece of photocopier paper is about 100 microns thick). If you want protect yourself, you need a HEPA filter, which will retain particles smaller than a filter micron. This is very expensive, but without it, why buy a vacuum? For wood and sanding, a shop vacuum without a HEPA filter is probably a waste of dust collectors money.Commercial big enough for larger tools, which remove particles smaller than 2 microns, are not yet available at prices from store to home. Thus, even with a HEPA filter, if you ' re using an electric saw, planer, etc, then you should use a respirator with HEPA filter and have something to clean your a shop before going to air the rest of your house (and before removing your respirator). The alternative is to pay more than the cost of the tool by a dust collector suitable industrial grade, or to build your own (there are instructions and parts on the internet).
I was worried that the HEPA filter will reduce the vacuum. Although it should be pretty, I could not detect it. So the filter is protected by fabric filters that comes with the machine. Very nice!
