While this gap is typically used to support drywall sanding dust and other tools to produce, this is the only empty my wife will allow in our house. He loves the fact that the exhaust gas is filtered and the powder back into her house just clean.
It worked fine for a year, then the switch on the tool is thorough, then the two-year mark, the two switches out completely. At this price, and price of the repair of complex switch mechanism, it does have a lifespan of two years to buy it again? Probably not.
I Have owned this vaccine for several years now and feel I can Give your opinion about it. (Sorry Amazon, I did not 't buy from you.) R RI Purchased originally for power tools operated dust collection. Of course, catch the dust from the sander or a saw 's connected to and has a very long and ' s hose bent It Easy doesn 't hinder When You Need to move. hose is strong and has not punctured or damaged from all the abuse I ve 'Given that. I like that he walked for sometime after you close the tool off to help clean up dust Still Any last-minute intervals. The power cord is very long and difficult. Wheels are good When I drag the hose around and Rather Than Me is a better tip. R rBut that has become all the horses working for me. I finally bought the hand held drywall sander with dust attachment and is doing a tremendous amount of dust in the air, on me and on my lungs. Even I used at work when my boss was asked to install drywall and sand in our computer servers, He Is More than a little worried about the dust I'll make, but very happy at the end with how much dust and Collected not t 'disrupt servers. It Can Operate With or Without bags when you suck up the debris and large suction These Years later (I ve 'to change the filter on only once). This is relatively quiet for a vacuum and a relatively mild Because I take it everywhere for a side job I do to help the cleanup. I Have Not Used It For part of the Wet Wet / Dry vaccine R. RIT 'll Have A wonderful cord storage or a place to wrap it, but all in all, I felt this little work horse is built with good and worth the money.
I am pleased with this purchase. It is much quieter than my old rigid shop vac. The hose is long and flexible so the hose in my old shop vac which is like wrestling a boa constrictor in short. The main use for 7812 is for dust collection from my array of Sanders, routers, and my plate joiner, this is a wonderful good job as an ordinary shop vacuum as well - be aware of other reviewers have pointed out that you may have problems with it clogging diameter hose if you let it suck up the pieces of wood. RIT R connects without any problem with my Porter Cable orbital sander on my Dewalt power and hand tools as well - no additional adapters required - at least for my Sanders, etc. It was really neat when you turn your sander and vacuum start, and then it shuts off a few seconds after you turn the sander -. nice r rPacking, build quality, ease of assembly - all very good. R rPROS - great dust collection for my PC and Dewalt power tools hand (this is a big deal for me). RMuch quieter than most shop vacs - works well as a shop vac too - for my needs anyhow. Rnic long hose and power cord. R RCON - cost three times what I pay for my last shop vac - but in my opinion, its worth it. Ryou will probably want to buy the accessory kit for another $ 70.00 bucks unless you are using it exclusively for dust collection.
We have been using gaps portor cable company about 17 years as a gypsum panels. We start with the previous model 7810. The new 7812 is a great improvement over the earlier, excluding the stock. The gap is much quieter than any vacuum I've heard. Seeks well and reliably. Abuse empty a couple of days a week. Have a duration of five to seven years of service alone. Is this filter all the dust very well and not obstruct. The filter catches the automotive style powder obtained by the bag. The vacuum has no air flow with shop vacuums. CFMs you will not find the fitting of any website. It will not vacuum up large chunks of the smaller hose and accessories. Don t plan 'on its use of the wet vacuum. There is a sensor to detect moisture at the top of the vacuum bag. Will he receive less than 5 minutes of use before the sensor cuts wet vacuum and must open it to dry before October Will he run again. REL Bags are a different story however. REL previous 7810 empty bags and reuse of model could be brought up maybe 5 times in October. The glue to keep together and keep them. The 7812 bags are stuck with glue extremely weak. If you do these 'careful when installing the flange of them separately. The stitching on the back of the bag Often times, in October while vacuuming. Even with careful dumping bags is almost impossible without ruining the bag. I think the new bags were designed for reuse and they could not achieve. We spend more on bags each year that the cost gap.
I bought this vacuum about a year ago because I wanted a quiet, powerful vacuum and was prepared to pay more than the price of those of different Lowes, etc.. Well, it is relatively quiet, my goal has ménage better vacuum suction. In addition, the lack of standard types of hose fittings is disappointing, and there 's no place to comfortably either the wind power cord or the very long hose.
I ve 'only had a limited use of the PC 7812 to date. I bought a house recently and I promised myself that I 'd get a real * * Shop Vac. Not a garage sale Vac cartridge, not a specail $ 75 big box, but a good shop Vac made to be used in a real store! V R ri 'Had two incidence nowhere I need the PC 7812. The first was simply your base "clean up the mess I made after much drilling holes " and the ACC has also worked perfectly ... but it reminded me that 've not come with any attachments (additional charge for this kit). I could use a small brush to help clean ... much like that of Nice that came with my Dyson (I promised my fiance I n use t 'as if it Shop Vac ... ' s * * too tempting). The second case, a large water fountain pet that holds about one gallon of water, and was plugged and overflowed due to cat fur stuck in the socket. Quickly I took the PC 7812 and trimmed the carpet and it seemed to be doing the work 's, but it was not t ' Till I stuffed the hose into the fountain to suck water and cat fur that I really saw the power cable Porter. I swear, this little box drawn in half a gallon of water as fast as gravity could pull on the hose at the bottom of the fountain! It was empty in seconds! I looked at my fiance who laughed at the trick I just do half a gallon of water disappear almost instantly. R RSO I 'm impressed by the power and the cleanup was easy ... but for the price, I 'm disappointed that it comes without the mounting kit.
I 'm glad I changed my $ 99 Craftsman "6.0 peak horsepower " shop vac to it ($ 230 on sale) vac. The Porter Cable 7812 IS MUCH quieter, MUCH more efficient around the wheel, blinds half the space, A filter removing Gizmo, and Other nice features. I replaced the flimsy 1-1/4 inch ID hose with a commercial grade 1-1/2 "hose, and was made adapters to standard 2 " ID nozzles. suction is good for most shop clean-up activities, notably goal less suction power than a Craftsman 6HP mad. R rsize: This is NOT 23-1/2 "high on the specs say. It IS 20-3/4 " high. Width 14-1/2 IS ". Length Is About 20 " more at least 8 "for protruding hose. R rSuction: This unit IS 9.0 amps versus 11.4 amps for my Craftsman " 6.0 peak horsepower "vac. (Don 't compare the 1.5-horsepower noted grossly inflated cette unites with " peak horsepower "shop vacs claimed by others.) I ' d say the suction and air volume at least 25% lower than Porter Cable, objectives most appropriate for the task. The Gizmo Helps filter cleaning suction hairpins. Maybe it 's nice loose fit your sweater That Is not suddenly pulled 9 " up the vacuum hose. On the Other hand, If I use a wide nozzle to vacuum sawdust off my driveway, it will take just a little longer. R rNoise: It 's not mad silent, drank it ' s Much quieter than my Craftsman 6HP shop vac. It 's Noisia than my (relatively quiet) Kenmore canister vac underwear, drank it ' s not a grating sound and you won 't feel like wearing ear protection. R rBags & Filters: I 't see Spending $ 100 a year for bags (over $ 4 each) so I use only filters. A filter cleaning gizmo dislodges crud When you pull a tab out of the vac. Also, top-mounted flat filter to remove the IS and clean easier than cutting cylindrical filter shop vacs most. Other vacs Don 't get de-clogged until they ' ve lost 80% of their suction Because It 's "too much trouble and problems. R Rhos Replacement & Tools: The flimsy 1-1 / 4 "ID hose is perfect for hooking Provided your belt sander ou autres hand-held power tools. A larger commercial grade hose for vacuuming the floor is better, etc.. Less wind resistance. insult to your manhood Less. You 'll need to track it down (take it to swivel cuffs), find gold create adapters, and work out from Misc. (I used 1-1/2 "ID hose. 20% more diameter means clustering 44% more efficient throughput. 1-1/2 " PVC couplings (from electrical or plumbing aisle) is nicely. Some Rubbery PVC tape from the plumbing couplings debt Will the pad caused wide standards (2 "ID) shop vac tools available at Home Depot. 1-1/2 " female threaded PVC couplings made the 1 - 1 / 2 "swivel cuffs well.) r Rhos Diameter confusion: If you are putting together a 3rd party solution Hose & Fittings, beware Advertised information diameters of hoses and adapters are usually misleading or not. This unit comes with 1-1/4 "ID (Inside diameter) hose. The OD (outside diameter) IS 1.56 ". The tapered cuff Is About 1.39 " at midpoint. N For 2-1/2 inch hose-Called That is the standard for larger shop vacs, inside diameter is 2 "and tapered interconnects is about 2.275 " at the midpoint. For 1-1/2 "ID hose, the OD IS 1.91 " and the tapered cuffs are about 1.79 "at the midpoint. R rPower Tool Outlet - Target: seems well designed. The owner ' s Manual Electrical load keeping the aim boilerplate avoider something you 'd like to know: How many amps you can take in the flowing medium-trigger? Theoretically, 15 amps minus 9 amps consumed By The vacuum = 6 amps. You can Get away with more, drank I don 't think it ' LL is using it flies on your table saw. R rTransport: Very easy to wheel around and take. 7 "to the rear wheels with small front swivel casters-Are the perfect design. Easily carried on top of holding the vac IS only 14-1/2 "wide. You 'LL suddenly realize How much you hate your shop vac traditional 4-protruding swivel casters. R Rother: The legs strong 22.5 3x14ga cord IS water resistant. solid with 3 prongs. vac it feels like quality. The Head is assembled with stainless steel screws, for example .....
Generally I am happy with this product. It has good suction, it 's Relatively quiet and easy to use. I like the tool auto turn on feature. Things Could Be Improved Three-1.The Hose diameter is small [1.5 "] Seems flimsy and 2. There is only a hook on the back of the machine to store the long power agreement 3. There are no attachments included with the machine and the attachment package is very expensive [$ 61.00].
I Have owned this product for Nearly 10 years. During That Time, I Have used it heavily with the PC drywall sander, as well as routine heavy pickups. I don 't baby my tools, I know it has seen Some action. R rOthers Have commented on the "flimsy " feel of the hose. Yes, it really does look cheap, But It has held-up well. R rI Either recommend you buy the accessory kit, or do as i did, get an adapter so you can use more 'standard ' accessories (Such as Shop-Vac brand) You May pick up. R rI still love it, no complaints. Check back with me Another 10 years.
And don 't recommend buying this product unless you ' re willing to wear ear protection while using it. It comes with a cheap Hose That causes deafening, ear-piercing problem Called "Hose whistle. " Porter Cable CLAIMS to know nothing about it, But It Appears to Be a Well-Known problem in the vacuum industry. After extreme frustration with PC 's customer service, They finally AGREED to send a replacement Hose, but i think it will whistle too. Higher quality slabs are Not Designed to whistle. Other Problems That There are is no place to store the Hose or the agreement, the Hose size doesn 't must fit fittings, plastic fittings and the Intended to hold accessories doesn ' t hold much. On the positive side, the vacuum portion of the combined Seems to be a good product. Overall however, I 'm very disappointed in this product and in PC ' s customer service.
After my shopvac died during sanding drywall work, I decided to buy something better. This unit is designed for sanding drywall. Since I'm in a lot of woodworking, tool-triggered start this function actually Vac also comes in handy. Festool cheaper than Fein ct-33 and products, this unit still Has Offers HEPA filters and similar performance. I declined particularly impressed with the quiet operation. The suction filter is good and works great. Rmy just hate the socks, which are cheap plastic ... But that 's Unit probably why it is so much more affordable than Festool (Which is a heavy-duty anti-static socks). Also, don 't expect any fixing attachments, you don ' t get any. R Ri declined consistently impressed by the porter cable 's no-nonsense design and rugged construction, and vacuum is the exception.
vacuum Earlier Than The Coming months HAD Amazon predicted. It 's Been Since used in stores and so far, I m ' very happy. I connected to the Porter-Cable sander random orbital me to see how well Collected dust. To my surprise, it collected all - That There Is No dust escape. Also has a Working perfectly with the joiner plate and I hope it will also work well with a belt sander RI. Also Bought accessory equipment, which has been in my opinion should be included with the vacuum. Appendix floor has Kept dust free floor. Bristles in a brush It comes with a set is Stiff Little, I Think It Is a soft feather to clean surfaces faster rafter. Tensions use it for some time, I checked the HEPA filter, a vacuum bag placed in the Supplement. IT'S no dust filter that looks on it means is holding the bag vacuum all the dust. Rthe shop vacuum so loud That this is Replaced WAS WAS necessary ear protection. This is the sound of the vacuum is more like a regular house vacuum. When It Is Running at Same Time as a tool, I ve 'Is To physically check it to verify it Came It On The WAS tool turns out, I know Sanders is Louder Than vacuum RI. 'M very impressed with the vacuum and kicking myself for waiting so long to buy it.
Have I owned this vacuum for over two years and is still running good. It is quieter than most and has enough power for whatever task I 've thrown at it. Unique for capturing it is drywall dust and sawdust on the Shop-Vac dust bags end Which Hold bags over Porter-Cable and keep the filter clean. I use Mr hose nozzle to prevent clogs. Overall a good vacuum.
very quiet and reliable unit, however, better for very fine particles. it Does Not Have a ton of power shop to pick up large debris. Also, the filter fills very quickly.
I bought this vacuum after reading the reviews here on Amazon and I agree with most of the things said in these reviews. I have used this tool a lot in the last six months and there are a few things that I feel helps others to decide if this is the tool for them. It is my opinion that, although this is a nice tool that performs very well, it especially suitable, in conjunction with a power tool as a dust catcher, or other applications that do not host large volumes are used. Big dirt is not through the small hose and sucks a lot of debris fills the bag up to go fast and the bags are expensive. You can use it without a bag, but this is to load the relatively small particulate filters cause, which is fast with dirt to make the best it necessary, they receive at regular intervals and perhaps shorten his life. I use a large vacuum shopvac style with A .4 micron filter element for heavy clean-up on the job. Most shopvac style machines allow connection to the hose to the pressure side, and as a fan, this is not possible with the 7812th It is also worth mentioning that I accidentally sucked a small amount of budget and Diet Coke (less than one gram) and the result was a torn strong dust bag. Regarding the criticism for the lack of proper hose and cord storage, resolved that I was using a 12 cm long string Bungi. I used this machine in conjunctiion with Sander, belt sander, a table saw, chop saws, miter saws to saw, and various drilling and it really helps to reduce the dust with these tools. I have used rubber Fernco drainage hose fittings on the tool to adjust the different size discharge pipe and tools to adapt that no dust was collecting rigging tools have scrounged up with tape and such. This tool helps me keep a lot of dust up my brass construction sites and start the Sander, turns on the vacuum and stop the sand and after a few seconds, the vacuum missed very little dust. For what it's worth, this vacuum is very, very similar to those sold by Festool whole lot more at that price, and I also got from a guy who is in a position to know these things they have said in the same MADE factory as the Festool vacuum but I'm not sure if this is so.
I have one small car garage / shop and I use the vacuum a lot, it has great suction and relitivly calm. The only thing that I hope will be no industry standard for the measurement of vacuum ports on all the different tools.
First I bought a " active tool" switch did not work i even came vac When the tool (Dewalt router, table saw or miter saw) was not online. OK, maybe a bad change or something that I thought. R r it back, next to a SAME THING! PC Call said "said he can get a new " so it stays in my garage unused. Also the bags fill up very quickly and are $ $ $. Don 't think about the use of cleaner w / o bags Because it is a mess to clean. R rUltimately the vacuum sucks, but not in the right direction.
Can not be beat for this vacuum for easy cleaning of drywall and other fine particles. I bought for my husband after I got tired of tripping on a system that he outfitted with a vacuum cleaner shop, a bucket of water and some hoses. He was convinced that it was not worth $ 265 vacuum Until he tried it. It is now a permanent fixture in all projects. I recommend buying the adapter hose and accessory package - Those who use all the time too.
This is the quietest store vaccines used I Ever. I like the electric plug that allows me to run my sander or table saw and Keep smoking as long as 15 seconds after turning off the device. On the underside of the hose is in the small side. A greater dialogue. Was Nice to vacuum hose has been greater than seeing the debris dust. Ten gallons is a good measure if you work in a narrow garage equipment. Storing the hose is a weak point since it 's compact size allows the vaccine must be stored under my desk, but WHERE do you insert the hose. All in all this vaccine is not what I wanted to do.
Collect this gap has everything I needed. Porter Cable even allows the use of bags to collect all the dust, so Don 't have a mess on the total emptying of the vacuum. No need "to use the bags if you have a lot of cleaning. Captures constructed in pleated air filter all the dust and the cleaning tool, regardless of the filter allows easy cleaning without opening vacuum. The storage media on board and accessories feature automatically disconnects for water harvesting fish gray snapper are excellent. The characteristics of the power tool is great. When used with the sockets for tools, vacuum flashes when the tool is up and shut down after 15 seconds when you turn off the tool kit of accessories The purchase can save you trouble finding attachments. Also literature and manuals can be a bit better. The unit has been working very closely for six months at my shop almost every day. problemsb not
I am looking for a new shop vac to replace my 15 y / oSears Shopvac and save my hearing. Having bought and used several different house vacuum over the years, severe dust allergies requires me to purchase a home for Nilfisk HEPA vacuum. After using it realized how much powder
I own a home repair business, and primarily the work of my truck just empty some laptops, but none compare with the Porter Cable. Silent - power - exhaust dust - long cable and detachment of the hose - Lightweight, what can I say 'by Porter Cable. ENJOY boys.
