A smart machine when working. Mine started to fail after one year and completely failed after two years. Spend less time trying to figure out what 's wrong with that, buy a normal vacuum cleaner and vacuum the floor only a few times a week. Given the technology that went into this product, the iRobot will stand behind him with a five-year warranty.

I think for a robot, the Roomba did a nice job of picking up I have a dog, and it was great for keeping up with the hair and the dirt he tracks into the house. I never had unreasonable expectations for it to do an impectible job, but I have to say it did better than I thought it would. R rso Why the low rating? My Roomba died. After just 18 months! For $ 200, that is just criminal! My old stand up vacuum was given to me by my mom and was almost as old as I am It still worked when I replaced it with Roomba. I called irobot and they said it was out of warrantly (1 year) and it could not be fixed. R rI loved my Roomba, but I wouldn 't buy another without a longer warranty. It 's just not worth the money if it won ' t last a few years.

I give this product 5 stars because it 's great for pet hair. I have a Beagle who has paid a hair faster than a bullet. I have two roombas and third floor. Every day I use it to keep up with pet hair and does a good job. About once a month I give the car a good cleaning. I noticed that they can get the pet hair wrapped around the wheel. Can this machine now, but a simple removeal hair, and everything runs great.

I also Roomba Sage Is That comes to recharge docking station, two virtual walls and remote. I 've not used the virutal wall ... I think it is much easier to just block the Roomba, with chairs, hampers, etc. The only time my Roomba Be Was stuck in a carpet with a vinyl floor. Now I just take the carpet clean before letting the Roomba. I have an area carpet over the weight of our wall-to-wall carpeting and it was fine with that. It doesn 't make it good Where the wall-to-wall carpeting meets the vinyl flooring or Along the edge of the carpet area. But I just zoom over the place with my hand-held vacuum. Like The Other Reviewers would recommend using the "real " vacuum every few weeks. But I have a short-haired dogs (WHO continues sheds) and a 2-year-old ... so the Roomba is a life saver. I find the remote a bit difficult to use ... But keep trying. Also, don 't leave a balloon on the ground ... The Roomba got tangled up with all the strings yesterday. Oops.

I'm considering upgrading to brush pets when I need a new one, but works well enough that I m 'not sure it ' s worth it. R live rBattery still great, although I use it all time. When not in use I leave it on the charger. I ve 'never replaced batteries virtual wall, but use it maybe once a week. Usually I just close the door or block the road with a bucket or something R. For Racial stairs, I tried to stay on the ladder and do one at a time. That does not fit the t '. So I left on the Dirt Devil vacuum the stairs and one every time I go up or down when they return 'look bad. Making less than duties and doesn 't Require lugging around a real vacuum. R ri can not recommend this product highly enough. This is to save me five hours a week in the dust (3 pet recall). Plus 'to bother to get a vacuum and drag it up and down stairs. It is easy to carry and from under it 's hard enough that I can hear it now but the dismissal of ' s do not interfere. I would recommend upgrading to faster battery charging, and possible basis, but can 't see what else is needed. If I ever die, I'm not going to "get a new one the next day.

Well, I have to stay I love this thing. We 've Had The Pet Sage for about three weeks with four Siberian Huskies, and it ' s always a work-out. Rthe room cleans Rosie Needs to Be prepped. Any carpets freyed Ends with Has to Be picked up off the floor. Any small item and dog toy Has to Be removed. Any wire Has to Be picked up or blocked somehow. One day I forgot my radio That 's power cable and exposed Was Rosie pulled my radio off my night stand. She 's the very aggressive and powerful worker. R rAlthough iRobot ever says to clean her three jobs, she gets a cleaning after Every Job. The cleaning process is very straight forward and simple. IRobot did a great job designing the main knobby wheels in such a way That the hair gets inside of Them. However, hair gets inside the front axle in the wheel Which snaps off for easy cleaning. The brushes come off effortlessly and are easy to clean, I use the small cissor to cut the hair That gets trapped in between the brushes. The cleaning tool works They give you great but i noticed at cissor I need a small and a paint brush in my Rosie Cleaning Box r rI blow the dust off the filter and clean the vacuum chamber with a quick swipe of a paint brush. I take care of Rosie and she takes care of us. RWE sleep at night while she works on the livingroom and kitchen. In the morning, she 's found all charged up on her charging cradle. It 's awesome. Rif You Have a ham radio receiver or like to listen to AM radio in October the charger throws some RF noise, But That ' s easy to fix, just unplug it once Rosie 's charged. R r3 - the battery doesn 't last very long. It will be worn out before it finishes a room and will take at least 6 hours to re-charge. It Really Takes 2 full charges to get a living room or master bedroom area. R r4 - it doesn 't pick up a lot of dust. Mostly surface it picks up hair, lint, bits of gravel, etc.. R r5 - You have to clean it Every Time. The manufacturer says to clean it very after 8-10 uses, but that 's impossible. If you don 't clean it Every Time, it will do a terrible job the next time. And if it gets too clogged, it gets stuck and can 't move. R rI still use it frequently, but not as Often as I used to.

I have a blocking cables under my desk and another that prevents Roomba from entering the kitchen (where the dog runs" during the day). t RSometimes Roomba doesn 'do everything the way home and dies away from the burden of STIs. And Don ' t think then this is a huge amount of fans since its in weight doesn t 'and ' s easy to learn and stick to the ITS database. M. remote control is pretty useless. Really Don 't see the need to do so. The only thing I ' voice is used at To chase the dog (that was fun to see). RRoomba Hasna 'completely replaced my empty (we have some very small curves that Roomba can ' t become) has given me a goal back hours my life.

I bought a "Factory Reconditioned " Roomba Discovery from Amazon, and received a iRobot ® Roomba ® Sage for Pets (model 4110). I really like it for the kitchen floor area, which is porcelain tile. I put it on Max and clean it and then go do whatever Cleanse for 2 hours picking up a lot of pet hair and dirt. I especially like that it Cleanse area under the cabinet (where the regular vaccuum won 't get withoout using an attachment). R ri used it on the carpeted areas of the house once, but will probably not do that again. It picked up stuff, but I use a "Dyson Animal 'where the carpet and the Roomba just doesn ' t come close to picking up what the animal does on carpet. R rBottom line - the Roomba is great for tile , not my top choice for carpet.

I put a good deal of research Into Before I Bought this vac it - so let me tell you What You Can expect, and more importantly, "What Not to expect. That The Majority of reviews are from people with negative are units or Defective People who Expected something completly unrealistic. R RMY wife and I Have about a 1500 square foot house. To really get the most out of the unit, we divided Into Our House three areas, and we move the roomba Each Day Into whatever area we want to clean (one large bedroom, the living room, and two small rooms Joining a bathroom). Then we run it in there 2-3 times and move it That Day Into the next area The following day. I Was Surprised at how well it will navigate Between rooms if you leave the doors open. Anyway, the floors are very clean - much cleaner Than They Ever Were with an upright. The roomba really does a great job on the baseboards and under furniture. The suction is NOT as strong as an upright, But The unit will cover most areas Several times - and After Several times, it will pick up as much or more than most uprights. It has to hit larger pieces of debris head on to be picked up. There are Some cases Where the roomba May hit a small spot only eleven o'clock or miss a spot Completely After a full 1-2 hour cylcle. However, if you run IT multiple times in a Day in the same place - you Will Have very clean floors. R rif you think you will buy this vacuum, set it in the middle of your house, punch A Few buttons, walk away - and your floors will be clean forever - Do Not buy this vacuum. This vacuum does requre That You empty the bin at least eleven day. It does requre That You find out what type of items it May get stuck on the first FEW times you run it. It does reqire That You make sure you don 't Have Tassels in cords or STIs way. It does requre That You clean the brushes Every FEW uses. The roomba can not do anything a normal vacuum does not. It can not clean over Tassels, it can not magically hop over 1 / 2 "thick area rugs, it can not run wires over and ignore them. If you are willing to do FEW These Things, Such as " roomba-proof "the room , and clean the brushes - it is MUCH EASI Than a traditional vacuum. It will keep your floors very clean, and you will be very happy. r rlet me tell you a story about why the robot is Still a robot ... My wife and I were watching TV and the roomba Was cleaning (it 's Not Really Louder Than a dust buster). We Have A puppy ... Well ... the puppy pooped on the tile entryway while we where watching. The roomba ... ran over the puppy poop and drug it all over the carpet floor next to the entryway while smearing the poop all over Itself (brushes, small places, dust bin). Needless to say - it Was Not pretty - and We Had After it caught about 5 minutes. One and a half hours, and 150 Q-tips later - the roomba was clean, the carpet was clean - and the puppy Was outside. Lesson Learned - Watch What the Roomba May run into. It ' s Not Completely fool-proof. It did it 's job ... and if I Had watched the puppy - Things Would Have gone well. r rThis is a great product if you don ' t Have unrealistic expectations. It 'sa great product if you don ' t get a dud. The Jetsons are not here yet - But I can honestly say my carpet and hard floors are much cleaner Than They Have Ever Been, and the unit is very easy to use. It is well worth the money.

Okay I admit, since I saw Bruce Dern and the cute robot in Silent Running I ve 'slaves wanted my own robot. And now I have one. All right. In the first year, my Roomba Sage has stopped working. After Changing the load, I-Robot, I felt a new unit. Within six months, from "Doing the Same as the first. It worked for about a year (my parents and a friend pulled me also,) and then something breaks that can not be repaired. (They have no service center.) If you contact the customer service they offer 's you in exchange for a reconditioned at approximately $ 95.00 plus postage. RNot worth.

I have mine as a Christmas present, and the amounts to my boyfriend hair shedding copious dog was definitely something needed around the house. We bed every day, sometimes twice a day for four months without ever having a problem. We was filtered through a maxconnectionsper little, but I don t mind 'How much (two filters in five months) We had to discharge and recharge the battery once the first six weeks, so he was well again. R RIT got along wonderfully, and as my place is only 1,100 square feet, always have the whole place before the battery out of bed. My stories were amazing. You have to vacuum occasionally to get corners and behind the couch, since the Roomba is not possible "always get everywhere, but it saves me much time and it amuses me endlessly. R weeks rLast We had to send it in because it stopped sucking on things so effectively. It still worked, but for the price, it should work perfectly. I emailed and then called Customer Service, and both times receieved prompt curteous service. I sent the unit for replacement, and am waiting for him now. If we get it back on the estimated period (10 days) and work as he did, I'll still be happy with it. I 'll be sure to post if I have a bad experience, but so far I love it. I m 'still waiting for a replacement charger, s Been it ' two months, every time I call Multiple They Say They expect next week. Slow boat from China. I see now Amazon sells a charger. Great priorities, iRobot. Nice people, nice concept, very poor service and product pipeline.
