My experience is much like many of those giving it a poor review. At first, it was great. I didn 't expect a tour of a Roomba to clean the room. I expected that the daily passage of time is slightly better than vacuuming my sporadic sweeps. It turned out to be true. Run a regular after-Roomba vacuum, it Finds dirt. Run a regular after-Roomba vacuum, dirt Finds it (granted, more). But the Roomba 's regular clean sweeps Things really keep the helper, and its tour under beds and furniture are good too. But Within a year, something went wrong. It just started running in circles. I kept it dry thoroughly - and I mean well. I didn 't disassemble it piece by piece and wipe everything down with rubbing alcohol, but I removed the easily removable parts, cleaned, blasted with compressed air etc. It's back, in brief, the proper behavior. After spinning again. Soon after (After another cleaning - the cleaning vacuum Time Spent time you eat fast saved vacuuming) empezar abruptly halting it as if it is hitting an invisible wall. More cleanings, adjustments. Brief return to functionality. You need to clean again. Now, without cleaning it seems to fix it. R Roh, and the batteries die quickly. I 'm on my third in three years, and the Roomba ' s Been making only occasional duty because of illness 's butt. R rMaybe someone will invent a useful Robotic Vacuum Cleaner, iRobot But hasn t '- Given the product at least to me (this Roomba model).
When my first husband bought me the Roomba Discovery, "was pregnant and had a cat. That cat shed like crazy. I was constantly sucks because if I do not t 'The ground was covered with hair. Once the baby is born , took over from me the sacrifice of the husband Rights cleaning, including vacuuming. After two weeks, hey bought the Roomba. I guess I should have given that work before! R rRoomba was perfect. He took it without all the hair cat "work on my part. I 'd turn it on when I went, and when I got home was made. Awesome! R rFour years later "that don 't have a cat, who oppose it have two Kiddos Extra. We see ' also changed carpet to hardwood floors. Roomba SE still chugging along. It 's little more work days to make the argument that the floor is ready for Roomba, drank ' s worth it. And a bonus - children love playing with Roomba! If I have to leave my hair, I just throw em "in your bedroom with Roomba, which re 'entertained for half an hour or more. The babysitter while cleaning! What else could "do you want?" R cons AThe - Do you get caught in some power cables. We 've got our baby monitor plugged sold to a bed, and catch it and always unplug the appliance or "drags her across the room. So just unplug it before running Roomba am his room. Also, if Roomba is removed from the charging cradle, the charge will dissipate quickly. My husband fixed this problem for wall mounting. R rI 'd definitely recommend this model. We 've Had It baked for years and still works very well. My husband tells me that 's easy to clean, and kids love it too.
I was hoping for a break of aspiration, but not this little guy did provide it. It 's great for getting dust and pet hair, but no "have much more power than that. Bin rthe the dust compartment is very small and fills quickly. Once complete, it seems to spread dust around, instead of ruining everything I've got a fairly clean house with wooden floors and fills up when the battery is charged through yet. erals, he gets stuck on some rugs and electrical cords. I have to save it and reset it frequently. RWith being said, I do not use it in real terms between aspiration. It does get some hair and dust so it 's better than nothing. RI can ' t wait to see what the future generation Roombas are capable of doing. Hopefully the manufacturer will improve it and it will actually do the job. I don 't think this model should have been sold to consumers as it is.
I've belonging to the Roomba for two years. For the first year I SWOR by it, but then two things happened: I am married to a young girl with long hair, and then we moved into an apartment with many obstacles on the ground. Rmy R Roomba has worked well in ideal conditions. With my new situation, however, he needs much more maintenance and supervision. Periodically it gets stuck on the ridges of soil, then I can not just turn before going to work, then come home to an apartment clean. Secondly, it tends to be injured in his hair many moving parts. It was just now refusing to run, and after half an hour of trial and error diagnosis in October, I told myself I had to unscrew and remove the side brush tuft of hair. Finally, my batteries tend to last about a year (I'm on my third, forty dollars each). R rThat said our Roomba is still working, and it does save time when I spent the money and energy on maintenance. iRobot has done a good job of engineering a new product is a difficult task. It 's just that the whole concept of adding a cell engine and artificial intelligence is related to the vacuum cleaner to add complexity, and these things must be diagnosed.
I have purchased a total of three Roomba Discovery System (Home Depot, end of year clearance, $ 75). Theys work for the first shot out of the gate is high, they are all failed after a few weeks; Turning Into crazy, spinning things to do. Ten times I found myself spending more time managing and cleaning the Roomba 's, as it Taken Me Have To Bring Out Actually, a standard vacuum cleaner. R ron my last Roomba (it was out of warranty for a few "years ago), I took it apart and completely cleaned meticulously Each and Every sensor inside the device with cotton swabs and isopropyl alcohol. Each light sensor is clean, all the micro switches, wheel arches, wire connection, etc. ... and put it back together. Spotless. He worked for a total of 5 minutes, then began spinning around again, pull a wheel, etc. ... There is no dirt in the unit. The iRobot website says "it could be a firmware problem ", and suggests I send it in a new series em look at it. I think not. R rit 'sa nice concept, just order that does not work in real life. R rBTW: To remove the cover, for the first time with the oven front bumper "on the screws either the six screws on the white hood. There were a lot of grit and impact on the pet in my unit when I opened it.
I really liked the Roomba when I bought the first one. However I found it to be clean to be very time consuming. R tension bar about a year, it would simply turn in circles. The manual proposed that the sensors were dirty. Cleaned the sensors, the Roomba but still only a section of the carpet (still turning in a circle clean).
I bought two Roombas to help keep our house clean while We Were Trying to sell it. This is a very interesting idea - they could touch the light-up the dust while I take care of other things, one per floor. That techie. And, I admit the idea Be the first person I know for myself I also sucked. R rThey worked fine - for a while (thankfully, long enough for us to move out before the fall of real estate). One began to get hanged in one place, kind of like that Are Having a seizure types (Must Move them finely in a straight line until they collide with the object, then go back and change direction a bit) Based on what I read on. line, I tried to clean the whole unit, including the use of compressed air to blow dust all, but it did not work t '. I contacted Roomba They were friendly and replaced the unit. Will I Be Happy Until the replacement unit started making horrible noises and vacuuming was also not immediately after I receive it, and other units also began to grab my initial. I'm thinking of contacting Roomba again, But Decided That I do not t 'want to make a career Maintaining vacuum. R RI has since bought up the Hoover Elite Rewind, could not be more pleased (unless, of course, "When someone else vacuums for me.)
I love the robot has my job That did after i bought it, but I have had many problems with this robot That has caused it to be replaced three times in the last four years. I would clean 1-2 rooms a day with this robot and let it charge on its docking point Pls note in use. First I was buying batteries Because the run time was drastically shortened. They did not work. Then they want the unit replaced, then the charger, then sent a new unit. The Same Happened SEARCH problems with the "new " refurbished units they want sent. I had to pay to upgrade to a better unit as I was Told, the only change was the wheel on the front. The new unit (# 3) worked well for a while, again the unit would only work for minutes. A new battery did not work order to fix the problem as with all the trouble shooting with the techs on the phone. Again they want so sent a refurbished replacement. It only lasted 4-5 months. All this trouble occurred with constant cleaning of the brushes and emptying the dust pan and filter and vacuuming out the unit with a hand Vac. R ri am getting a new model. This one just has too many problems. That so much they want don 't even sell it any more. I have gone months with out the use of one and miss it, but soon I Will be trying out a new model ;-)
I love my Roomba, I use at least ounces per day. It seems to work better than the carpets are made of wood. I still have to get the vacuum and the corners of the Office of gold rims heaters that Roomba is too big to but I can only use it to freshen a room or after the children had eaten without having to drag the vaccuum or waste my time doing it manually. Battery life is not the best if you do not use it often. Theys Suggest disconnect if not using for a week, otherwise the battery will lose its hold time. I love my Roomba and am definatley never fall for another sans!
I'm so glad this robot! I was just over two weeks and I am still working on the best configuration for the Lighthouses of this weekend, but I think I have it set up perfectly now. I run it while I'm at work and cleaned my floor every day! I have a big dog and a bird and I never saw hair / fur to cover my wood floor again. I'll spend a few hours at least twice a week I dust the entire house before. The Roomba has changed my life!
Living in an apartment and having a pretty busy life that means I 'm hardly ever home, roomba is a life saver. Just turning it on, and letting it run loose, I 'm able to have my apartment clean in no time. R rThis is well worth the money, and probably the best investment I 've made to date! R rSelf charging when it gets low, two lighthouses to restrict it to areas I want clean, and the ease of just turning it on as I leave and knowing when I get back my floors are clean makes this my favorite household gadget
I Have Problems ALREADY countless batteries, and 11:00 out of warranty machine Was (16 months) was on strike R. RLook is a reply from CS: r r "We apologize for any inconvenience Unfortunately,. At this time Do not we have a program That Allows Customers to send the robot in for maintenance or service iRobot Offers support via phone or email .. We will happy to assist you in troubleshooting your robot Every problem that can have. " r ROK, iRobot, you officially lost my business forever.
I really wanted to love or Roomba. We have called, even after his robot Rosie the famous comic strip 60 's. At the end of t No battery lasts a long time and only clean floors and large open spaces. She feels confused and one day the company has software update us. After she was never the same. She is very confused and just spray around. I 'm sad to see go away. I would not buy another Roomba Even at half price.
I have Discovery 'is owned by more than 3.5 years, and ' s still working 1.5 hours per charge. Until they bear 's green and then disconnect the battery removed and stored them. I only used twice a month, when. R ri Odio vacumm, so this robot help me a lot with a long-haired cat and a dog. I would not mind 'to do a routine to clean and filter mantainace Brushs, min, about 5, and usually two or three each vacuum cleaning as they do only once a month! R rRecently, which was malfunctioning, keep backups and circuling ... I found the information from iRobot's website to fix it, because I don 't have the air compresser, I used a small electric pump to turn off bewteen the evening and the bumper and unity. And the few times I hit bumper. He then worked as it should. R ri never use the station and I think it 'll buy a red if it is broken in the future and with a battery of post-sale.
I 'm now in my second 4210, who has just died shortly after the guarantee has run out. Judging only from the circle of people I know who has bought Roombas, this seems to be a fairly common pattern. The robot works very well for almost a year, then stops a day. I think they are basically designed to be disposable, which is a shame given how much they cost. When a person goes from $ 150-200 in a vacuum, which is impressive to wait more than 13 + hours of battery life. R With rAnother is cleanliness. It takes almost as long to clean the Roomba as it does to get a traditional vacuum and run it in a room. The small brush is wrapped in hair, especially if you have anyone in the house with long hair. It 's great to see you pick things up, but what really can overcome even the small brush in a clean house. R complaints rThese hand, the Roomba is an innovative product and would be 4 or 5 stars if it was built to last. There really is no excuse to sell a product that breaks right after the warranty. I 'm sure that IRobot makes a successful business in place of the warranty.
Works ok on a wooden floor or thin carpet, when you work all had to do a software update, but after that fails regularly. The problem? It only works if kept meticulously clean! Rather than waste time vacuuming the floor, I'm cleaning the vacuum cleaner. Now, despite blasting off with air from an air compressor (you have one don 't you?), Works for 5 minutes looking for the powerless. I suppose if I could figure out how to dismantle it, I could clean it again, but it 's going in the basket this time. Yet another piece of worthless junk from an American (which means "Made in China).
When I bought it a year ago it was $ 350, but I don 't think I want that extra money back since the price dropped. I 'd pay the price even today. This thing is very good. R rit 's cute too. Once you turn it on for duty, he abandons his base of what * beep beep * forklift's done - and it 's stop the run ... R STI laughs like cruising at random on the floor, but ultimately, it covers all the space while bumping its way around furniture and walls and conscientiously navigation from room to room. R rit 's not perfect. C 'll miss some points, but not really so. C 'is an efficient machine. Make sure to clean the brushes and empty the bin regularly about eleven months and you 's gold. My battery of the robot "Normally, dogs do an hour and a half before he heads back to base for rest of STIs. It This way of having a pet STI pulls weight here ... R RNO joke, I love this machine. If it were perfect, he would get five stars. You must ensure there is no son or "power indigestible" trinkets lying around, or he will choke and scream for help. But it 's pretty good. Often, I just cut and go to work. When I return, the floors are clean. Aces!
We just moved into a brand new home w / brand new carpeting and tried to use it. The new carpet sheds a lot and cloggs up the Roomba. It 's not good on carpeted surface, especially in the kitchen to pick up large dust bunnies and dirt. It is a bit difficult to clean the brushes. Also, the battery seems to be lasting less and less.
United arrived in a condition which makes me believe that he has never been renovated. Totally dirty, does not work, even after charging. I spent an additional $ 100 to buy a new battery and brush. Will never buy from this seller.
Roomba has worked for six months and I tried to get an answer on the site without success. When I finally got someone they meet said that the software was bad and I had to buy a new one and they give me a discount. Warranty sucks. Customer Service treats you like an idiot. Buy an upright vacuum sweeper. $ 200 down the drain. They have no facility to fix what does not. We must discard it and buy another.
Using my Roomba after a year, I 've decided I ' LL probably not buy another one when it gives out. The main reason I bought a Roomba is to save time and concluded Roomba does not help 'much in that department. The time it takes me to set up the room (getting bound and cast out of the way, etc.) plus the time needed to clean the Roomba out is more than how long it would take me to just whip out the vacuum and kamikaze the floor. myself r RWE 've got 2 dogs (short hair but nonetheless huge shedder) and two teenaged girls (long hair, so shedder) and hair gets wound up brushes. After each run, I make the Roomba apart, cut the wound-up hair off the brushes, comb the rest of the hair, and others. It is a 15-minute operation by itself. R rRoomba therefore does not match the performance of a modest vacuum is rug-beating. Carpet r Rif you have lots of hard floor and don 't have issues with hair, Roomba is for you.
Stay away. Stay away from that company and its products. Poor product quality, customer service, very pathetic then you 're already on the hook for $ 250 +, no follow with the client and the necessary accessories are routinely out of stock. It 's not worth it, even if the only thing that sometimes clean the floor once in a while. R process ra in point: r rmy wife bought a Roomba Discovery as a gift for me. Unfortunately, this model 's Delicate Power supply was initially marketed without any internal surge suppressor. As a result, a blip in our power nine months later the power supply fried. A representative of iRobot duly offered to send me a power supply with new and improved surge suppression. It took more than two months, as they were out of stock due to manufacturing fault above. R R12 months and six days from the date of purchase, the power supply arrived. We found that the power surge, two months ago apparently fried the robot itself as well as the power supply. Due to incompetence iRobot 's in the design and subsequent lack of power supply in stock, we also found outside of iRobot's year warranty. iRobot refused to replace the robot unless I paid $ 99 plus shipping for the repair since it was six days warranty! No amount of discussion would be to divert the plane to customer service charging me away from doing a repair on a product that fried while still in warranty. He even admitted that had the entire record (including what were they want is out of stock on replacement power supplies for about three months) on file. "Nothing 's what I do, sir!" I was told. On subsequent calls I was told that if I had made a particular way that was never mentioned by any person customer service, the rate of $ 99 would have been dismissed, but it was too late to do anything about it now (as the question of reimbursement of one or give me, say, $ 99 accessories.) No, no can do, sir. We apologize for the inconvenience, but re 'still keeping your money. R riRobot then sent me 2 dud "Remanufactured " Discovery Roombas before we found one that actually charge up. (Do they even want to turn them into a test before they want to send them again?) O "work " Finally they sent did not want a dock at the pier of self-recovery of a day. The same, but poor customer service nightmare that eventually started working in my favor. Because of that I suppose is a computer glitch (imagine!) Roomba The second appeared at my door a month later via Fed Ex When the battery gave out after three sessions I was forced to buy a new battery. Pity that iRobot - seems to have forgotten to manufacture batteries recently. R rFor last four months the iRobot Roomba site said that the batteries are out of stock and due back "within 4-6 weeks. " They say they do not use batteries like iRobot did not want or 'll disable the your warranty. What do you want Pls only company that sells "approved " batteries won 't keep said batteries in stock? Go to eBay like everyone else and then the market "Made in China " knockoffs, I guess. R rWhat a piece of junk. Wait - what pieces of garbage. I forgot that now has two dead Roombas.
