I have three of them, two HealthPro Plus and a GC, all at home. He bought them after I did a lot of research online and decided to spare no expense to protect my children against indoor air pollutants. Have had for 2 or three years. Wow this is a hyped market. This filter is expensive, but it does not work and no ozone generation. The main drawback is the noise. Comparatively, the noise should be assessed objectively, but any noticeable noise is a gap for me, especially because this type of filter (room type portable) can only function if it is kept nearby. It is like a top-of-the-line air cleaner but I think it is a overpriced rip-off and let me tell you why: r r (1) Within one week of purchase this unit from an authorized retailer on the internet, the unit got stuck at high speed and not go back to lower speeds. Called vendor (I'll pay $ 20 to give them a good review) and they told me I could return it within 30-day guarantee period. No help from them and no help from IQAir. Luckily, it was back to normal after a week. R r (2) The power cable kept popping out. The castors on the bottom could easily break if you keep moving around it (not very well made). I have several air purifiers throughout my apartment. My son and wife have severe allergies and we needed something more than what we had. The motor burned out on my large Oreck unit just after the two year warranty expired. The Honeywell filter WAS Also very expensive, and the unit WAS Extremely noisy. The units Holmes Were ok for very small rooms, But Had To be on the high setting to notice noisiest Any air cleaning, HAD flimsy construction, and required frequent filter changes. The Sharper Image units Were Basically useless, As They Did not Improve the air quality or Our allergy symptoms; They Went back to the store after three weeks.
