This is a great vacuum, and have exceeded my Expectations. I Had Been searching around for a canister vacuum That was rated to work well on carpets and hardwood. Most of Them Apparently work better for hardwood Amazingly But this one works well on carpets (Powerful suction) - Better Than Any vacuum I 've ever owned in the past. I don 't particularlly think its a good idea to use the powerhead on hardwood, But You Have The option of shutting off the powerhead to Prevent scratches, or purchase the additional floor-which is a great tool and attachment works wonders. I Have Also found Dusting the attachment to Be a Great Aid to QUICKLY Dusting wood furniture and other items. You can 't go wrong with this price (currently $ 180 - $ 200). This outbeats Any Other Commercially vacuum I Have Purchased. More Than I am satisfied with my purchase and Strongly Would recommend to others. I am writing this review Because I Was Unable to find Any Other reviews When I searched online, I know I hope this is helpful to others.
