I have a Miele user for about 5 years. I use this bag a new generation for the first time, and must say that they are doing a disservice to consumers by redesigning it. This is a case of something that works better on paper than in practice. They include spring loaded flapper in the bag opening, which was supposed to close after the unit turned off to keep the contents of the bag out. The only problem-once the bag starts to fill, the accumulation of hair, thus preventing the flapper from closing. The old bag has a plastic device that you slide it down until closing the opening when removing the bag for disposal. This was not in the redesign, so you must be careful to handle the bag on the way to the trash or the contents will be spilled in October

My Miele vacuum can still work as well today as it did 11 years ago and I love it. So one must have these bags if you want your vacuum to work properly. Product Premium and worthwhile.
