I like this vacuum a lot and finally one day it will not turn off the actuator in the handle is not plastic, and if the switch is stiff and not bend the plastic rock switch to off rTake two small screws from the handle and remove handle (just the opposite of how you assemble it) . This will expose the rocker switch on-off switch. Rock it back and forth and the vacuum must manually turn on and off if no switch is bad and needs replacing. However, I was very stiff. This works when I manually rocked but it was too stiff when I put it back together for the deadly rWhat has worked for me in this vacuum: I went to radio shack and buy a spray can of Control / Contact Cleaner and Lubricant. It comes with a small piece of tubing. After the deal to go (again) I put the tube into the upper edge of the switch and pressed the button for a fraction of BOTH A and then do the bottom edge switch. I work manually switch a few times. I repeat one more spraying and rocking. I wipe the excess is visible. I put everything back together and have worked fine for me. RThis goods made for electrical contacts ... HOWEVER, it should be used very frugal! Besides, can a new bit of pressure. Be careful that you do not blow the 't some back to you. RJOE

My parents used to have a Dyson, but they wanted an automotive vacuum (the Dyson is a little heavy to use, especially the elderly). Perhaps because I have one. Hoover is supposed to be a leader in vacuum and 2. I had heard the wind tunnel was empty suction power comparable to Dyson s. 'While both these statements are true, this model is a complete lemon. After a year, the band fell apart. Changing the strap around a month later and the tape came back. After reading several reviews on the net, seems to have a pattern: the belt system in Hoover this is terrible. Do a search for the model number and the word review, and that is a near universal problem. Stay away from this vacuum.

I Have owned this vacuum cleaner for 3 months. Already the self-propel switch Does not work properly. Most of the time I can 't get it to switch from self-propel "on " to self-propel "off ". Even Worse Than That Is The Fact That problem the vacuum won 't turn off! I Have to unplug it from the wall to Turn it off. I Have Used this cleaner less Than 20 times and think it Is a hunk of junk. It cleans ok, goal comme au Problems make it very frustrating to use. My previous Hoover Lasted me 20 years with Virtually no problems. I won 't buy Another Hoover product. The Building Is Cheap and Even Without the above-Mentioned Problems, I don 't Think It Will last very long.
