Description

I bought this little vac primarily for picking up pet hair, not for any serious cleaning, but it hasn 't worked at all. The nozzle gets clogged with hair and dust even before the dirt reaches the dust chamber. I stopped using it because i got sick of stopping every 30 seconds to open the thing up and stick a butter knife in the nozzle to jimmy the clog out. It might work if you 're just picking up dust, but steer clear if you have any pets.

Cheaper products on the market but the B and D are excellent with long lasting battery power and great pick up.

It is the best hand vac I've used. Great suction, easy to clean.

I had and former Black and Decker finally worn out that (was really good and picked up the dust) and got this new piece of junk. The battery is low and off in no time, no suction nozzle retractable thin can 't no adjustment and hooves and collapsed when you use it. The cyclone is a bunch of BS to try to get away with a smaller battery and motor, but it does not pass much.The is too difficult to switch on or off. The dust collector has a bad grip and fell. If I could, I began to give zero. While I will not consider the Black & Decker again or make sure that I can return it. This cleaning lever on the side is just another useless thing.

Battery only lasts about 20-25 minutes max. Still has the low capacity NiCd batteries. Filter gets dirty really quick ... I typically have to clean it about every five minutes. Takes overnight to re-charge again. Just doesn 't seem to have many redeeming qualities.

Dustbusters COLORS I have used since I had twins. This one is SOOOO annoying. The Extender is too small to suck up cereal, or anything bigger than a small Crumb, and you can 't remove it. It also plugs up constantly, so when you set it down, dirt and yuck dribbles out onto your surface. I have also had trouble with excessive dirt getting into the filter Compartment, which will shorten the life of the engine. R rPick dustbuster of a different style than this if you have kids. It would probably be fine for pet hair.

If It Was Possible to physically remove the old battery from my 8-year-old Dustbuster 14.4VI wouldn 't be looking for a new one. I bought it last week and return it. The problem with the design of all new B & D model of the gap with extra extension is now built in vacuum, reducing the opening of the device for debris pickup. If you remove the plastic cover and inside look at how the remains should collect, it has to Make a 90 degree turn through a very small opening to collect inside. I have a rabbit and my Dustbuster currently used to clean his cage and surrounding areas, including discarded pieces of hay. Granted, I use a lot of filters, but at least it worked, and managed to pick up things great and small. model has been jammed in less than a minute. I actually had to use a small screwdriver, pencil, and my fingers to remove all the things that got stuck in small rooms. No way to remove the extension because they built this design. If you have lips bigger than dust to pick up on it, look elsewhere. Also, I'd Have Given that my 80-year-old mother, but he had trouble turning it on / off, Was so hard to push buttons.

Dustbuster is a good extension but the nozzle is boring. It does not lock in the closed position and tends to slide in and out while you're cleaning, especially with the brush. Then when you try to delete the attachment, it extends the nozzle in place. Poor design.

I am very disappointed, usually you buy a product Black & Decker and it works great. The Black & Decker 14.4V handheld vacuum cleaner is the worst, it has no power, I mean none, the charge last May 10 minutes if your lucky.

My two Dustbusters are a lifesaver. I've had one for years and just purchased the CHV1408 have another around the house. I have three cats and a dog and use the Dustbuster every day to clean up spills, skin, or sand track. This model is easier to use since it slides smoothly out of the charger. It has a strong dirt bike and a tank larger than other models in the same price point. Casting is a complement (the other model sticks a little) and extensor removable suction (due to lack of a better term) is a good addition.
