* Battery Installation Instruction:
Step 1: Loose up all srews on the top cover of the Roomba Advanced Power System.
Tool: You need a triangle screw driver to do so.
Step 2: Open and remove the top cover from the power system, which may be glued.
Tool: You may need a flat screw driver to open it carfuelly
Step 3: Remove the old battery inside. Three are wires with metal contact connected inside. You can remove the wires by pulling up the contat or cut wires off.
Take a note of the wire connections
Step 4: Put new battery into the battery case and solder three wire back to metal contacts. Follow the note taken in Step 3 or the following details for re-wire:
- Red wire: battery positive - The red wire must go to the terminal farthest away from the battery
- Black wire: battery negative - metal contact near edge
- White wire: temp sensor - metal contact on other side
Step 5: Put back the cover
Step 6: Screws on the cover

I bought these to fix a Roomba used. They charged, but then immediately discharged and took over 3 hours to recharge. Probably, the Roomba, and not batteries.

I bought it, had great hopes for a cheap way, with the official battery Roomba. RInstallation isn 't quite simply, because the plastic cap was on the battery all the way around glued - took a while to open it. If it actually works as promised, it would have been OK. R rBut I pocketed it and ran it on the first day. Know I don 't, how long the battery lasted, but it seemed to work well. I recharged. A few days later I found it seemed to work. Recharged. I bought this battery because I was 't quite sure the problem with the battery and I didn ' t want to spent $ 60 dollars for a complete new battery to find out wasn. It was a little difficult to get the old battery apart, because they stuck together so I was sure I could do before I ordered the deposit of the submission of an old screwdriver, the screws fit trianglar. I ordered this replacement battery since I can some Solder Wires and am mechanically inclined to some degree. The iRobot people wanted too much money for their replacement to fit my old Roomba, this battery met my needs. Like I said, if you enjoy your old Roomba Tearing down to tune it up so, you 'll prolly be fine Twistingo 3 Wires and soldering them together. The company shipper who forgot to ship my battery along the funky triangle shaped tip Screwdriver. They did one mail out a week or so later, which was nice of them! I got excited though, and COULDN 't wait for the special Screwdriver, Drill below and simply out of the old screws that hold the battery case together and just used black electrical tape to hold it together and that worked great! The new battery is holding up well and charges up fast! I 'm happy I ordered this replacement.

Got this item from Amazon. The seller updated the order 3400mAh free. Like the others mentioned, you have to be careful how you open the battery paste. Once you open then it is simple procedure for sealing the connection 3. Note how the layout is better or take a foreground image. So don 't connect the black wire that is supposed to go red. I got my second Roomba battery pack after battery started running short. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a free upgrade to the 3800 mAh pack instead of the 2400 mAh I ordered. The bonus package is the special triangular screwdriver to get the battery case apart. The order was received a week after ordering, another plus. R rInstallation is a little tricky, some fiddling with a pair of flat-tip screwdrivers to get the case apart.
