Reviews
After much research, I went with this model because I wanted a little more resistant and warmer than the shark steam, but had read the comments of other steam mop can not fit under some firms ( what would have been very irritating). Believe me, I went back and forth between this model and the FS-20 (yellow) connection with the short handle at least one week. R RWEL, voice I 'now used this steam mop 2 weeks, and I'm impressed! R rHere are advantages in any particular order: R1. A distilled water tank installed, it lasts over 20 minutes. The removable tank provides water not used for anything again in the jug of distilled water installed, too (as it is not recommended to store the water vapor in MOP). R2. I could clean my vinyl entry very dirty, my (small) kitchen and two (small) baths of 23 minutes and was then when I went slowly and gently removed has some ground to-earth. Is this signs of dirt that 's land has been since 1993? No, but it does much better than anyone else 'I tried (including Mr. Clean Magic Eraser acetone and good old - two of which had the finished floor, too). Because of my small room, I can not comment on the length of the cable, while 's not a huge deal unplug, move, and reconnect as ' s very light. R3. Hairspray residue in the bathroom had disappeared completely within 2 cleanings (no more hand washing have never completely clean before - the Wet Jet left deaf and were a little sticky) All the floors completely clean and so bright that in fact A layer were little (I feel like doing a scene from Risky Business HERE). R4. The mop was easy to assemble and use. R5. You should not expect the team to fill the tank cool. Simply disconnect, remove the water tank, recharge, plug again, and in less than a minute, You 're ready to go. R6. It really fits under almost everything (a few centimeters, anyway). R7. As with other Haan steam mop, not pumping or work activation is necessary (water vapor is always). R8. The pads are thick and absorb far more than most of microfiber towels. As for the pad seems to be a problem with some other brands of steam mop, I thought I 'd mention. It keeps well in the washing machine, too, and dried flat. It also adheres well without any clips, so you can use your foot to remove them when it 're dirty. R r RNOW cons of: ( r r1. There is no short handle for that connection, so to clean the desks or use an attachment to disinfect furniture glider, that 'd have to play mop all around.I was excited at the thought that perhaps I can attach the handle directly to the black base without the middle portion of the handle attached (why, oh why, Haan, not the design point of fixing something different?), But unfortunately Isn 't possible, in case you are wondering. You 'll see what ' m talking about here, if you get one of these. Fortunately, I also have vapor Haan For hand jobs. R2. Just turn forward and backward, side to side. This feature would be nice to get into tougher areas more difficult. I tackle this problem by blocking the MOP in its vertical position, grabbing the bottom of the handle, the mop and moving from side to side through these areas (not necessarily a nice show.) R3. The cleaning pad or head is very large (almost 7 ") from front to back, which I suppose is good for cleaning a greater surface area, but 's not be able to get back your bathroom unless you monstruosament large space behind your bathroom. r rNot necessarily a professional or with: r R1. I 'm just throwing this out there because they know. There is a bomb that removes water from the tank to the steam zone. Another Haan (SF-20) uses a simple boiler system. The good news is that steam coming out of the Steam Mop force quite like this. But So if you want something completely silent, this is not 't it, although it is very quiet (strangely, one of my cats to see each time he feels the steam pump MOP). In addition I hope that 'sa bomb really durable. I Don ' t want to perform in a short period of time, because I love this steam Mop. r rAnyway that 's all I can think now same, but I 'll update this as things become clearer, particularly as regards the durability of this machine .....
My current house is 26 years and has been a rental property in the past. The bathroom and kitchen lineolum is original and was dirty. I'll replace lineolum this summer, but I bought the Haan to see if I could get the stains on the floor over and when I want to replace the current one. RWhen FILTHY I say, I mean my floor bathroom looked like someone had put lotion on their feet and never wiped the floor. I really didn 't think that something would be clean because I tried everything I knew before. It took me about 20 minutes to clean, but they look almost new. I was absolutely amazed. And it was so easy to do. The machine is easy to slip and doesn 't Shoot me like MOP did (62 years). RBuy this ship. Sweep or vacuum before use and look out the floor so clean you can walk on it with white socks.
I like Haan for use in ceramic tile and vinyl. I found a little numbness in marble, but it's time to seal the floor in particular. The only thing he does well is mortar, grouting, particularly white. I 'd need a pack with a little more "tooth" to descend to the area of grout. She cleaned it up a bit, but my floor is a kitchen and gets a lot of traffic. The ounce of steam per week (home of two adults who do not wear shoes at home). Haan, I go out with a softer block to solve this problem. This is a great value for the price, easy to use and very light. Warning: The pad is very hot after use.
First off, i 'd like to tell you a little about myself so that you can understand my view when writing this review: I am the type of person that has to do all the cleaning myself because I want it done a certain way, and no other way will do because it has to be just "perfect ". Luckily, my husband was willing to learn "my way " and he does it that way and I don 't have to worry about it. I am VERY picky about my cleaning. I used a lot of bleach for disinfecting and used bleach to buy by the gallons at Sam 's Club because not only would I bleach my bathrooms, countertops, etc., but I would fill a mop bucket with bleach water and bleach my tile floors . When I clean, it 's CLEAN. However, about 9 months ago I discovered "steam ", and I thought, well, it 's still killing germs, etc, etc, but, and i ' m not using all of that bleach on the floors. Cause, let 's face it, even though I would mop with the bleach water and the two buckets of clean water to rinse the floor, there ' s still going to be residue from the cleaner - bottom line. R rSO , as I said, I discovered the Steam mop. Went to the store, bought the Shark. My 88 year old Grandma was with me that day, she too bought the Shark. Ok, let me just say, I LOVED the concept of using the steam on the floor instead of mopping and using all of that bleach. WAS NOT happy with the pumping and pumping and pumping and pumping and pumping you have to do to get it to produce the steam. What a pain in the @ # # that is. Turns out, it 's way more of a workout than mopping. You are sweating up a storm by the time you are done. It was getting my floors clean, it was, however the effort it took to get them there was more that I was willing to do. In the meantime, my mother became curious about steam cleaning as well, because, quite frankly, she too was tired of the mop and bucket. I figured there had to be a better option than this pumping my @ # # off stuff, so I started looking online and at first had picked out another brand of a "continuous steam " type steamer. I figured, ok, let me go to the local Vaccuum Store in town and see if they carry it. They did not carry that particular brand I was looking to purchase, however, they did carry the HAAN. Of course, I had never heard of this brand before, but they swore that it was much better than that other brand I was mentioning and assured me I would like it. So, on a whim, I bought the original Haan FS-20 (the yellow and white one). That was earlier this year. Let me tell you, I have not picked up a mop and bucket since like April of this year. It is such a pleasure to mop (if i can even call it mopping) the floors now. My tile floors are clean, and I mean, residue-free clean. I know it 's killing the germs, etc., and it is so easy, literally a child, or husband:) could do this. I am serious. You just simply fill the tank of the boiler, and it boils the water to produce the steam. The floors are so clean and residue free, that if you are wearing nice clean socks, you 're liable to slide on the tile.Well, my mother became jealous of this NEW steamer because when I got the original HAAN, I had given her to use my Shark. And although she loved the concept as I did, the pumping was a pain for her as well. NOW, she wants what I got. Let me tell you, I tell EVERYONE about my steam mop. Matter of fact, I 've gotten about 4 ladies at work steaming their floors now. One lady says, oh, I get down on my hands and knees ". I 'm like, FORGET THAT! Get a HAAN. And she did. I got steamin people ' all over the place. Ahahha. OK ~ SO Fastforward ~ ~ r rI saw that they came out with this new "Slim and Light " contraption. HMMMMM, that looks really, really nice. I wonder how it works? well, I read and read and read reviews. NOW , I want one of THESE! (I still love my original Haan FS-20, but this looks even BETTER!) Let me just say, these people that give this new Slim and Light a bad rap because it didn ' t make their 30 year old warn October linoleum look brand new, or pick up all of their kids leftover food on the floor, or didn 't pick up a clump of dried stuck-on something that had been there for two weeks, COME ON PEOPLE! There are limitations to everything. First of all, IT IS NOT A vaccuum, nor does it ever claim to be. YES, you do have to vaccuum first. Coming from a person that has two Labrador retrievers, you must vaccuum. And you should anyway. It steam cleans, it does not pick up a pile of cheerios or doggie hair tumbleweeds. vaccuum FIRST! Also, yes, steaming times on one tank of water will vary, depending on how fast or slow you push the steamer. Some people say, oh, only one tank lasted me through doing the kitchen, well, if you go really slow, like i do to make sure i 'm getting it real good, yes, you will have to refill by the time you get to the dining room. Some people move the steamer around faster, covering more area quickly, and get all of their floors done on the one tank. That 's fine too. I am just a little unclear on how fast to actually move the steamer over a certain area in order for it to be effectively cleaning, so, I go slower and refill the tank more often. Whatever, doesn 't really matter. r rI decided to get my Mother Grandmother and one for Christmas this year. By this time, both Mom and Grandma had stopped using their Shark and had gone back to mopping at this point. did I order them the new Slim and Light for Christmas this year. I was so excited to give this to them, I could not wait. I COULD NOT WAIT to bust it out of the box and try it for myself, just could not wait. Also, I just had to try this new mop because another lady at work wants to go to steam cleaning and wants to buy the HAAN, but, wasn 't sure if she wanted the original HAAN like I had, or if she would like the new S & L better. SO, i suggested to her ..... . let Mom and Grandma on Christmas open theirs, I 'll use it and let you know which one I like better between the two, because after all, at this point, I had only read reviews and seen pictures of it on the web .She thought that was a good idea. So she was waiting with baited breath to find out which one she was going to buy! WOW, this is NICE! Ok, so, now, how do I tell my husband I want the new S & L without him getting mad? hmmm, i 'm going to have to work on that because I have GOT TO get me one of these. Mom loves it. She has steamed her floors every day since Christmas. r rok ......... r rPROS: r r ~ Light. r Cute ~ r ~ Tank pops off the back and you can just refill and go r ~ The long handle and the shape of the handle make it really easy to use, in bending over. r ~ Head is very low profile and will go under (but not completely under, mind you) the stove, cabinets, fridge, etc.. (depending on the height of your appliances) r ~ Pads are re-washable. Take them off, throw them in the wash with your clothes, throw them in the dryer with your clothes. r ~ Super easy to push, NO PUMPING REQUIRED. r ~ You are not sweating up a storm when you are finished. r ~ You know your floors are getting clean, truly clean without any chemical residue r ~ It WILL remove some stains or stuck on stuff (IF) you hold it over the spot for about 10 seconds or so. r ~ It comes with the carpet attachment tray so you can freshen your carpet, couch, bedding, mattress, dog bed, etc.) . IT IS NOT STANLEY STEAMER! NOR DOES IT CLAIM TO BE! It WILL NOT steam clean your carpets like Stanley Steamer. There is a difference. However, it will help loosen the stain so that it can be cleaned out of the carpet, and it will take the smell out from a pet accident, etc.. It freshens because it is killing mold, dust mites, bacteria, etc.. R ~ Husbands and children can use! Can we say BONUS! r r rCONS: r r ~ Cord is a little shorter than the Shark, BUT, that is peanuts compared to the ease and positive benefits. No big deal. R r rNote: r r ~ What 's the difference between the FS-20 and the new S & L? Well, the FS-20 works on a boiler system, basically you fill the tank, it boils the water to produce continuous steam. The S & L uses an internal pump. You WILL hear a slight fluttering noise as the mop is pumping the steam out for you. This is normal. (I have actually found that the steam comes out more vigorously on the new S & L than mine because it is being pumped out). R r ~ Wear shoes or socks at least when steaming the floors. You may not think that it is steaming all that much, but let me tell you, if you get it too close to your foot, and it burns the skin in between your toes, you 'll know it! (obviously a personal experience). r r ~ Don 't be a cheap @ # #. Buy distilled water to use in the machine. It will keep it from getting all crusty and crudded up with mineral deposits like your coffee pot does. I use only distilled water. The machine will last longer this way and the steam jets won 't get clogged. r r ~ Take the pad off the unit and throw it in the wash or at least the hamper when you are done steaming. If you let it sit on the unit after you 've used it and store it that way, the pad can get musty smelling. r r ~ My advise, buy 2 extra pads. You can never have enough. r r ~ If you 've been steaming for a while and the pad starts to get saturated, just put a new pad on. This will avoid streaking of the complaining on the floors as some people state ... ..
I LOVE MY Haan steam mop! It seems to be of high quality. Surprisingly, the cable is heavier than my Dyson vacuum cleaner, or any other device of this type. The pads are nice and thick and hold up well. R I was very impressed when I cleaned one of my bathrooms vinyl. It 's had a profound stain on it since it was installed. I 'd tried Clorox Clean-up and any other product that I thought might work, without success. With just one use the short, most stains are gone! I 'm sure that a second cleaning will remove it entirely. R You still have to sweep the floor as the steam de Haan, and doesn 't pick up debris. Ro heat in just 30 seconds (instead of 3 Minutes they say) and comes with a cushion to put under her warm while she s ". A water tank that very little of my kitchen, bathroom and two floors of tile my entry with some spare. So, when buying distilled water won 't be much of an expense. m However, my house is too small. R ' Eager to use in my braided rugs and Oriental type, not haven 'was clean as I was afraid to shampoo that ruin them. I ' m 66 years old Haan and found the weight very light (less than 4 pounds) and easy to use. r Haven 't found in cones, so far. r I certainly would not 't hesitate to buy this again. rUPDATE: r I tried my Hann Steam Mop area rugs on my last night. They came out cleaner than I thought it would be and I was very impressed. Especially in an area where the carpet dirt of my land was very regular in one of my dogs and had a ' accident ". I tried everything to get the smell ..... to several natural enzyme products, Febreeze, etc. Spot Shot, and even had the carpets shampooed several times. Now the smell is gone after one use with Haan. R Unlike using the Haan floor hard when you 're Steaming carpets or rugs, you will want to go very, very slowly and go up the area a few times. R This is one of the best purchases I've made in years!
Well First let me say, That was really fast shipping! Putting together the Haan Was easy, filling it with water Was easy. Not much to it. I like it better than some of the other models. Heats up fast! Can it glide under my counter tops with ease. I love love love that I am not using any cleaning products. I love that the floor does not Have That sticky feeling like after you mop sometimes, and then you Have to go back over it with water. In fact-my husband I Told That The floor is squeaky clean. My kids bathroom is tile, and I have two boys and two girls, let me just say Boys are hard on bathrooms! I feel like When I steam clean the floor in the bathroom, I really am disinfecting it! I Do It Every Other day or so. I am teaching my Eight yr old how to do it so that It Becomes his job to clean the bathroom floor! Its that easy. RWhy four stars instead of five. Well in the commercial They make it look like it Can clean up any mess. Any thing stuck on the floor. Truth Be Told some of the more stuff stuck on It Just Can 't get. I have to kinda go before it with a rag and get the really hard stuff. And a lot of times I have to keep going over the spot. That Being said. I love not bending over to mop bucket, and I really like the hot steam disinfecting my floor. I would buy one again in a heartbeat! RGiving one to my mom for Christmas!
This steam cleaner is amazing! It has Lifted where dirt and grime caked off of my concrete floors. Glider easily. Thank you and would buy again!
This I 'only use this steamer ounces ounces Just Wiped out this objective, with the steam, heel marks on the floor. It 's so easy to use too. I do not m 'is back with "Until I get some' of distilled water. The instructions say that hard water reduces the duration of the steamer.
I love this product. It does exactly what it says it will. Collects dirt and dust. It feels really clean the floor under my bare feet. RP generally very rarely due to back / shoulder pain Ri, but this is very easy to use, lightweight t cause it not 'the inconvenience. And I love that does not use chemicals. Because I have two cats, I d 'to use the Swiffer wet and then go over with water to remove chemical residues. I don 't want it to be licking any poison in his pine cleaner, donors who did I want on my feet. In addition, the clean smell Swiffer / chemistry made me itch. R ri have hardwood floors in most of my rooms over tiles in the kitchen and ceramic tile in the bathroom. All floors are cleaned very well and easily. I wipe before use. I also used the sliding Siselen fixing my carpet. It was definitely brighter afterwards and felt cleaner. There was a musty oder, because of all the recent moisture, 'no smell at all times. R ri realized after two rooms on the platform was becoming too crowded and it was more difficult to slide across the floor, so I changed the pad and spent the next few quarters. I suggest buying the extra pills do not run a clean change of pace. R ri cans recommend this product. I 've already recommended to my friends who hate the RP!
I'm using my stove to steam, but I feel really doesn 't get the land on earth ... Perhaps 's should not. I still have to clean or wash the floor after a few areas where I used the steamer. R RIT is a very light weight and easily goes under furniture. R rOtherwise , it is easy to use, easy to store. Make way, way better than gold swiffer mopping. So overall I'm happy.
In general, I 'm impressed with the Slim and Light Haan Steam Cleaner. It 's beautiful to see, easy to assemble and operate, and is really light. It 's hard to find something that is clear, objective is also extremely durable. Due to it 's design impeccable, the mop head Even slides under the edge of my couch to clean. What a thrill! I love knowing that I ' m kill bacteria and germs are lurking where all Hard to Reach places. Year Ras added bonus, the floor dries instantly - N Immediately, I had to check if the mop was really there - and it was. I Have Saltillo tiles, which are extremely dangerous when wet. With my little Haan, I don 't have to worry about any slip. Ras owner of a pet, I ' ve also found that this is great for Kitty Litter Sanitizing around boxes. I use it constantly in our areas of feed "to keep the space free. Rall at all, I 've found only one drawback. I still have to rub your hand dry, hardened in spots outside the tile. Not bad for a small machine that vastly improves rub the pain that used to be. Also, if you have a tone of tile, or a wide area for washing, like me, you 'll have to fill the water tank of a few "times during your routine cleaning. I didn ' t find this be tedious, because the bowl of water pressures in and out so easily. I "Haan gives the thumbs up for the price, and ease of use.
I really love this product. It actually made the drudgery of washing floors likable. RFirst of all it looks great (not a fan of Haan Other models with the bulky awkward floor part), you can tell it 's good quality material in every detail (love the wrap around cord hooks). Rit ' s light and easy to move around the floor, gets the floors really clean - I Have Flooring hardwood and vinyl and I had no problems washing off even Virtual Box, tried on Dirt (mind you, it takes a little more time to do that as you Have steam to the spot and rub it with the mop a little longer, but that 's no-brainer). Oh, and it 's always a good idea to vacuum first. RWhat ' s really amazing about this mop, though, is that now I Have a lot less dust accumulating at home - it really makes a huge difference. RI 'm planning on getting a whole vapor-cleaning system in the future ($$$) for cleaning the whole house, but for now, I ' m perfectly fine with my steam mop haaan. Ras far as cons - I Haven 't used it on tile but I suspect it might Have problems with the grout. Plus the cord is kind of on the short side. RBut overall - Totally worth it.
I have three different steam mops Used in this purchase earlier: H2O mop, monster, and Bissell (my favorite for easy, effective, but leaves the floor very wet and stopped working in one year.) Rthe other get Haan steam mop review good that I want to try the brand, although it Is 1200 watts to 1500 watts compared to the brands mentioned above. This swivel mophead advertised it, but in reality, it did not turn 't from east to west (to get into tight places like between the toilet and the wall). It is designed so that it can reach under the kitchen cabinet, such as The mop Haan another. RI It has a white vinyl floor in my kitchen and for some reason gets dirt into the ground To be fair, there is no steam mop I ve 'Trying to get everything (only a small sponge and white They're just like Mr. Clean does not it). But Haan SI Poorest problem by a long shot. I hate it. I mopped the kitchen floor two or three times per week. This build is very light soiling, but I still see it after cleaning a dirty floor. I wipe very slowly, Spending a lot of time trying to get the floors clean: more than 20 minutes in the kitchen 8 x 8. The second time, I even used a good cleaning the floor with him. I put the dust on the floor and NOT Haan direct water into the tank, because I think this is a no-no and will damage the steam mop Rthe. PRO: Very easy to put together. It heats up fast. Quick-release cable is a nice feature R. It 's designed to get you all the way under the kitchen cabinets. This works well for November Someone who has a r tile or hardwood floor, which was not so the t 'to leave the floor too wet, and it ' s lightweight. The Lasts steam r almost 20 minutes before takes to fill the tank. Lightweight, easy to push Rthe. NOC: Little Power: doesn 't clean vinyl in, only a loose dirt surface. r t play Mophead doesn 'to go to places such strict wall between the toilet and RI. Having this value will be 0 or 1 star, but this works well for May wood or tile floors or clean the only person who should be light.
Assembly of this steam cleaner Includes snap on the handle and pressure on the cleaning pad. Uses distilled water is the best cleaning without minerals, introduction of tap water in the kettle would, so it should also have a long life. I have porcelain tiles and laminate floors and both were cleaned quickly and thoroughly. The steaming sounds were so low it didn 't even bother the cat! After cleaning of 1600 sq meters, I have washed a second cleaning pads on gentle cycle and air dried them. Just some little thing was still on the pad surfaces and in October, drew slightly. If your first pick up any loose debris vacuum surfaces, you won 't have a lot of the cleaning stick, etc., the attack on the microcloth with just enough "tooth " the hair threads. If the product is you can clean under the bed but not on a rotating head, so quiet, you may need on hand to clean surfaces that are too narrow to negotiate, such as between toilet and wall. The cleaned soil white sock passed the test, so I highly recommend this product.
