Description

The compact, portable DATAVAC ® Electric Duster is far less expensive and safer for the environment than compressed air. Definitely gets the job done. Strong and powerful. Many different nozzles over sufficiently long power cord. Can 't ask for much more in a compact air blower.

For years I have been looking at different ways to clean computers. I have several computers and repair and many more as a side business. Canned air does not last long, the dogs "freeze up " and are ineffective. Air compressor with enough power to do an adequate job are bulky and expensive. R rThis item is exactly as advertised. A powerful blower does a more than adequate job of cleaning. Because of its compact size and power it is loud, but not unexpectedly so. It 's air intake does not seem like it could grab onto clothing. The Nozzle are locked on to the machine with a push button type lock. SOME attachments are larger lockable friction fit to the waves, but they seem adequately secure. R rExcellent manufacturing materials and design. I will be looking into other items produced by this company.

I 'm not a big fan Metro Vac mainly because most of their products suck (or should I say Don ' t suck enough) and when i saw all the good reviews for this I was very skeptical but after buying and using it for a while I must say I 'm really impress. This little dust has a lot of power and Bowser away even the most Stubborn dust particles away. It works a little different then a regular can of compressed air which focused on high stream of air on a very small point, this large Quantity of dust to push air through a nozzle much larger but the end result is equally good. You definitely won 't have to buy another can of air ever. The dust is actually quiete datavac then other products I used but still quite loud and it does heat up a bit after a short while, specially if you are using the small nozzles. A lot of previous reviewers mentioned that the air flow is so strong that it blows the nozzle right off the main unit, It would appear that the vacuum tube fixed this issue by putting a little metal push button which has to be put in in order to on and take off the nozzle. And $ 45 for current price you just can 't go wrong. I highly recommend this product. R rCheers.

I bought this thing because the higher ups at work is making a can of water as rare as the Hope Diamond. My computer needed to be fried and dusted before I lost years of Trust data. R rThe first time I used it at home and I scared myself and the paint on the noise. It is extremely powerful. Second, despite the noise that it is sufficient for removal of dust. However, 'no suction (that ' s just below and God forbid if you wear loose clothing while using the item, I spent minutes trying to pry away from the machine trust my blouse this morning). This is just a blower. And not a very good one. It works in a pinch but the attachments that allow you to direct the flow of water is a joke. Think about getting a thin Bendy straw and trying to punch through the water all the while with something heavy in the end That's pulling the hay down. R rThe reason for three stars is that it works, it is what it 's supposed to do. However, the green and let the police damn me for saying this, but canned water is lighter, quieter and easier to control this thing.

The unit runs circles around canned air. Only problem is that a unit with this strong, sometimes you really want to suck it instead of just blowing air. Reason is that sometimes you may want to be just dust when blown, will scatter everywhere removed. All in all a great unit at a great price!

Works great! I used to clean out a tray of videos of DA s ', and he did better than I expected. Left all the cards in the frame, the great attachment blower cars and sprayed the frame. All the dust blew right out, better than cans of water or use a mini-Vac. The filter basically sucked a lot of dust and needed to be cleaned afterwards, but was better than having dust everywhere. I 'd get a dust mask before using it again since it works so well. He also used a leaf blower to get rid of leaves that were monitored inside. That worked great too.

I received my quickly via UPS, which has very sturdy metal frame. Should last forever. It blows air like my 5 HP shop vac, almost like a leaf blower (in volume and noise). I tried the China Trust products and this is the only real alternative to pressurized water Cans, has great power there, and it is really from the end and you'll save a lot of money. R rBefore to buy it, remember, this is a fan, not a vacuum. Only cons I can think, are the sounds and that it doesn 't have a locking mechanism, other than that, this is a great product, I recommend it 100%.

I just received my duster today and has given me peace of mind that he suffered from an enormous amount of dust inside my PC and the CPU fan, causing the fan to run always at 100% and was very strong and annoying. This is a great replacement for canned dusters. It is much more powerful. Can you use this thing to blow leaves from your garden, not to mention the dust of your electronics. The only negative point is that C is strong enough, then don 't use to clean the computer in the library. But believe me, you won 't have to turn it on for long. Those who wish to protect the environment feel a huge sense of accomplishment, because you'll never need to throw another aluminum can now Would you ever Harmful emit gases into the atmosphere. The vacuum tube is a vacuum, you know fan 'which works very well. The dust was flying from my wife 's computers from places that I could not see (under the MB), Power, graph' s paper, etc...

Cleaned both desktop computers in a fraction of time the it used to take. No canned air freezing up and spewing onto the moist vapor components. No decrease in pressure. The only drawback is the effect on the fans. Make sure to hold the stationary fans with a pencil or some other object of your choosing while you 're using the duster anywhere near a fan (video card and processor fans included). If you allow the blower to spin the fan, you could very well end up destroying the bearings. Other than that, this machine is fantastic.

I am very " blown" away by this product (Pun Intended). This is very strong, and whether it is work s 'with the good. I can 't even imagine how much this is better than the cans of compressed air. I ve 'Used Currently only with the standard attachments, and even then, it is sufficient for what I should do. I knocked on the stars of this product just because the design errors in how attachments are made. Needs to Know designers do not believe you did not blow the vacuum and urged Powerful tool, They Must It makes it so attachments will interlock (ie, push, and turn it clockwise to each other with the head). So, please be careful when using attachments with it, you hold the attachment either with your hand when you're blowing, or you get some good tape to continue to fall. Relative to a very strong hair dryer (with just a little heat and no GFCI plug ([...])) animal is way more powerful (dare I say relentless), than any possible air. Eat your heart out Vidal Sassoon! BTW don 't listen to complaints about the heat. It 's not an issue for anyone unless you need a cooler unit in the super-cool meat or something. R rSome improvement? The seal will be better (not that the escaping pressure makes a big difference in blowing power). Never the less I used electrical tape to seal the gaps in housing after opening it up and inspecting the construction. Also, filters can be larger in order to guard against explosion by. Some of the air WILL be getting past the filter so I 'LL possibly with measuring and enter my own larger filters. I 'm guessing some improvements were made in the next gen here. Hopefully better filtration and less leakage but even without these improvements it 's still really better than a can of air all-around. The only reason I care about a tighter filter because I 'm cleaning 35mm slides from 40 years ago before I digitize them and small dust particles like beach towel when you blow up the image. Oh, and as others have said, watch for flying nozzles! Just make sure you push it in firmly. R Ra good idea that could use just a little refinement.

Use of this only once, makes all those years using water, canned feel like a waste of time. canned water is expensive and not effective as you think once it hit in May with Bad Boy. Re R be three years old Mac Pro and others drobos are dust magnets with their large fans. And laugh 't be so bad, but there is construction in the house which only worsens the situation fine. This I 'have increased During my usual maintenance, construction dust on all my mail using the water box with what appears to be unjust result. Until recently it was only me there 'noticed some performance issues with the Mac Pro, probably due to poor dissipation of heat from various heat sinks (those huge Zeon on procs, and the ATI card and motherboard), covered dust. I did what I could in the box with water by flushing the graphics card and getting into all the corners in short controlled explosions, but could tell it Wasn 't Enough produce force to track down the heatsinks high Zeon. Pls s What 'I ordered the Metro Vac. R rthe second I turned the unit, fell to the ground. I was not 't ready for that much power. The on / off button is a clicker button, located on left side of the handle. I'll like this product even more if you had a hold the power button to make sounds easier to short. R Ryou 'want to use two hands (one to control the power switch) and one to hold the unit to operate. One critic complained that the attachments fall in order to avoid this problem, you 'll want to connect securely Them. I like to use the long tube of thickness of the best extensions. t thin Wand isn 'potent as you might think, since you must use the short piece of black tight fit into the picture. This piece has a hole on the bottom This reduces overall pressure, which is probably not a good thing because it may cause the pieces to fly away. It can also be there to reduce static in the end, but t can 't be sure. The thin want the attachment is not my favorite, and it does heat quickly. I can see using it (I) for keyboards and Standard and Poor, but the internal components, I close with a long pole (the top piece in the picture) which has about a quarter-sized hole in the end. I used an attachment to clean all the fans and large heatsinks in Mac Pro and drobos. R RTO say that I am satisfied with this product is an understatement. I put out so much dust off the fan (there are four large fans on the Mac Pro case) and heat sinks to make you think I never clean this thing out. cans of canned water to get the fans going quite well, but this thing is just ridiculous. Same thing with the drobos, I pulled out all the units and water meters Vac Just get through the unit to remove dust every bit 'canned water leaves behind. I know about this product via my PC World magazine. I got one for Christmas from my daughter. I would say this is The Very Best Thing That Could anyone with a computer has ever wanted! The First Time That I Was blowen iused it went by! How much dust and dirt There Is only me and my keyboard can be used for air time. This is by far the best money saver. This made me save money on compressed air, further helping the environment. Rit works much better that there are no canned air.

We 'Handy use this cleaner for a month. Understand that it doesn t load 'up, it blows the dust off of things. We use it for one person for cleaning keyboards and we have a Roomba sweeps every day in the house ... Do we have two dogs. I ve 'never been able to get the filters in the Roomba that as they are vacuumed Metro. 'S powerful! Attachments that you can find the right for each job. He is strong, that 's because it is powerful. The manufacturer notes that it is warming faster than it is so powerful, it will be warm to the touch after a few minutes, allowing you to know 's time for the off for a few minutes, but is so powerful that 30 seconds is all I need to completely clean a filter Roomba or the computer keyboard. Best of all ... no repeat purchases of canned air and no air box boxes sitting in landfills. I recommend this product.

This fan is quite strong. It's great for cleaning computers. This is much more economical than buying cans of compressed air. What can get hot when you use it, but nothing to worry about. This would also be a big job to blow the air mattresses for camping or something. BUGS

Performing as expected - no surprises and after reading other reviews. Need to be careful about what you blow out any of you again 'cleaning. Small parts and pieces of garbage out quickly and in any direction. I recommend wearing protective Eyewear Pls help using it. As stated elsewhere, the dirt is going to ground all around so it 's best not to use it in a place you re ' trying to keep clean. Small crevice tool is pretty much useless however, and better suited to a regular vacuum (suction or exhaust). Too much water coming out, and they'd won 't stay attached. I use the small nozzle attachment shown in the Description, and it will remain in reasonably good if it's good Pls properly attaching it. If they'd come up with a way of closing the nozzles on the unit, it would be even better as the power is awesome and the nozzles will come from time to time.

Used every day in my work as a technician repairing television sets. After cleaning the State of plasma televisions, I use datavac to remove the remaining dust before screwing in the back. Excellent product.
