I did not use the product on wood floors, but carpet. I bought my steam sanitize carpets, and was satisfied with the outcome. The first time I cleaned my carpet, let dry and then used the steam. I also used it on my couch. The disinfectant should be kept level or a small amount of water will leak from the sides, but dries very quickly so I do not see this as a problem. For the price, he did what I expected him to do. Since I used the carpet I do not know how it works in wood flooring. I have three dogs and several cats, and was pleased with how clean my carpet and sofa looked after. I DO NOT clean the couch first, just ran the steam on it, and it pilled cat hairs for easy removal I thought I had removed manually, which was great because he left my couch clean and bright. If you want to kill germs and sanitize your carpet or floor, then this product can work for you too.

Sent back. Did nothing as advertised, he said. Very disappointed. Do not buy this product. Just a waste of money.
